Memphis Tigers women fall to Temple 64-51

(WMC-TV) - The Memphis Tigers women's basketball team couldn't overcome a big first-half Temple lead and fell 64-51 to the Owls Sunday.

Ariel Hearn led the Tigers with 22 points (8-17 FG) and continues to lead the team in scoring. Asianna Fuqua-Bey struggled with foul trouble, and wasn't able to give the Tigers an inside presence early. Temple took advantage, using an inside-out approach to find Rateska Brown for five threes. Brown had 17 to lead the Owls.

Memphis falls to 11-14 on the season, and 4-8 in American Athletic Conference play.
