Poker plays have chance to go 'all in for animals'

(WMC-TV) - Are you willing to go "all in for animals?" Your chance to do just that is coming up Saturday, February 22 at the Humane Society of Memphis & Shelby County's annual Texas Hold 'Em Charity Poker Tournament.

The tournament will offer players a night of poker, "pub grub" from Humdingers, and a beer and a beer and bourbon bar. The buy-in is $50 in advance or $60 at the door.

Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers, including a Tunica weekend getaway, a bourbon basket, and a gas and groceries card from Kroger.

"This event was so much fun last year, and it was wonderful to share our mission with so many new people," said Leah Walker, marketing and development director at HSMSC.

Players can register online ( right now, or at the door, but early registration is encouraged as seating is limited to 110 participants.
