Barbershop quartet spreads love with surprise harmonies

(WMC-TV) – Four men spent their Valentine's Day using their vocal talents to surprise unsuspecting lovebirds. They even crashed a Graceland wedding.

Jim Sams, Jim McLane, Jim Warner, and Erich Shultz make up Quick Silver, a barbershop quartet that made the rounds on Valentine's Day.

For Jennifer and Brian Teeters, February 14, 2014 was already shaping up to be a memorable day. The two planned to get married at Graceland mansion. It became even more special when they were serenaded with a surprise song by the Quick Silver quartet.

"I had no idea, as you could probably tell by the look on my face," said Jennifer.

The wedding day surprise was a gift from a family friend.

"Once they started humming it out, it was awesome," added Brian. "That was pretty special, a nice touch to the wedding for sure."

At first, Jennifer thought her husband played a part in the visit.

"Valentine's Day last year, he had an Elvis impersonator show up to my work and sing me love songs. That's why I thought he had something to do with it," said Jennifer, who is a huge Elvis fan. She even wore blue suede shoes to the wedding. She is now a fan of a whole new singing group, who stopped by to make her wedding day extra special.

The Teeter's wedding was not the only stop for the singing quartet.

They are, in fact, spending their holiday singing to others in need of a Valentine's boost.

"You can't pay us enough," said Jim Warner, who sings as part of Quick Silver. "We get so many smiles and hugs, so it's tremendously rewarding."

In addition to the Graceland wedding, Quick Silver made a stop at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Action News 5.
