Davion Caston is hoping to win a national championship for the Cavalier wrestling team.
Originally from Ohio, Caston began his college career at Notre Dame of Cleveland. He ended up having to transfer after having trouble in the classroom.
"Coach (James) Hicks found me and he wanted to give me a second chance," Caston said. "Forever grateful for that. I thank him a lot for that every day.
Earlier this year, Caston had to battle a torn meniscus but now he believes he is ready succeed on the mat and become a national champion.
"I think since day one, that's kind of been his goal," Hicks said. "During the recruiting process, that's always been his goal. I think he can handle that pressure."
"It's a privilege to have pressure on you from time to time," Caston said. "Especially with me being a leader on the team right now. I just Ota go out and do my best, wrestle my hardest."
Caston qualified for the national championships on Saturday afternoon.
