(WMC-TV) - Andrea Walker, the mother of the baby girl who went missing January 9, was arrested Monday morning. She is now officially charged with first-degree murder.

Aniston Walker was 7 weeks old when she disappeared. According to Andrea Walker, she left Aniston home with a 3-year-old as she dropped her 5-year-old son off at school. When she returned, she said Aniston was gone.

Walker was initially arrested on child neglect charges, but was later released on bail.

Walker's arrest comes less than 24 hours after the body of a baby, younger than 1 year old, was found in a Millington ditch Sunday afternoon.

"I would say that it seems like the body has been there for some time," said Millington Police Chief Rita Stanback Sunday. "It's less than a year old, wearing a onesie."

Memphis Police Department confirmed Monday afternoon that the baby found Sunday is, in fact, Aniston Walker.  Millington Police Department contacted after the discovery Sunday, knowing they had been working on a missing baby case since early January.

Investigators were able to determine the baby was Aniston Walker because of her physical features and the onsie she was wearing when she went missing.
