HILLVIEW, KY (WAVE) - A police officer is suing the city of Hillview saying he's been pressured by his bosses because he may testify in federal court against one of them.

James Barrow has filed the suit against Jim Eadens, the Hillview mayor, Glenn Caple, the police chief, and Kenneth Straughn, a major on the department.

Barrow said the police department reprimanded him for trivial actions , such as speeding in the parking lot. The suit claims Barrow expects to testify in looming federal criminal proceedings.

In a one-count federal indictment filed in October 2013, investigators accused Caple of trying to cover up a mobile meth lab on an elected official's property, then lying about it to the FBI. Sources say it involves the handling of a meth lab that ultimately led to charges against the mayor's son.
