(WMC-TV) - The second annual Modern Day Woman's Conference returns to inspire women across the Mid-South.

Hosted by the Women's Foundation for a Greater Memphis and Young Women Philanthropists, and presented by Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women, the conference kicks off a two-day event with a Networking Mixer on Friday, March 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. hosted by United Capital Private Wealth Consulting at 999 S. Shady Grove Rd., Ste. 301.

On Saturday, March 8, the conference will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Garrett Auditorium, located on the campus of Baptist Memorial Hospital at 6027 Walnut Grove Rd.

This year's theme is about uniting and empowering women from all walks that experience similar challenges of "Balance" to support their personal and business lifestyles.

"We realized that women are seeking more balance in their personal and professional lives and want to give back to the community. This conference provides the perfect combination of education, inspiration and fellowship," said Gina Meyers, chair of Young Women Philanthropists.

In its inaugural year, the conference attracted more than 150 emerging women leaders, and organizers hope to reach even more ladies this year.

"Providing opportunities for women's leadership is the cornerstone of the Women's Foundation," said Ruby Bright, Executive Director/CAO of the Women's Foundation for a Greater Memphis. "The Modern Day Woman's Conference gives our Young Women Philanthropists the latitude to lead an empowering and educational event for women in the Greater Memphis area."
