Freebie Friday: Deals that make Daylight Saving Time sweeter

(WMC-TV) – Lindsey Brown has some Freebie Friday deals to make losing an hour of sleep this weekend a little sweeter!

At 2 a.m. Saturday, daylight saving time will take effect, while you'll lose some sleep there's a freebie to get, too.

Get ready to lose an hour but gain a doughnut thanks to Krispy Kreme. Sunday, March 9 the chain is offering one free glazed doughnut per guest. Click here for more information: http://www.krispykreme.com/DaylightSavings

The Germantown Tree Board, Beautification and Parks and Recreation Commissions are celebrating Arbor Day by giving away dogwood tree seedlings to Germantown residents. The giveaway is Friday from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. The first 100 people will also get discount coupons for the Farm Park Fruit Tree Sale.

You'll have to show proof of residency, so bring a utility bill and a valid driver's license. The giveaway will be at the Germantown Crossing shopping center at Farmington Boulevard and Germantown Road. If it rains Friday morning, the event will be held Saturday, March 8. For more information call 751-5669.
