TATTNALL CO., GA (WTOC) -

Authorities suspect that a fugitive who has been on the run since January out of Tattnall County may have stolen another vehicle as he continues to elude police.

Chad Dasher escaped from the Tattnall County Jail on Jan. 24, when he and another inmate escaped through the jail's roof. The other inmate was captured.

Dasher was being held at the Tattnall County jail on several charges for a multi-county crime spree that occurred in Georgia in 2012.

A Volvo may have been stolen by Dasher near an area in Long County where a pickup truck he had stolen turned up, according to the Tattnall County Sheriff's Office. Dasher's pattern has been to steal items to sell when he steals a vehicle.

The U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to Dasher's arrest. He is described as a 5'9" and 140 lbs. He has green eyes and brown hair.

Dasher has an extensive criminal history, including fleeing from law enforcement. He is considered to be armed and dangerous. He has also been the focus of extensive manhunts in Texas and Alabama.

Any information pertaining to Dasher should be relayed to the Tattnall County Sheriff's Office at 912.557.6777 or the U.S. Marshals Service Communications Center at 800.336.0102. Tips can also be emailed to usms.wanted@usdoj.gov. All information is confidential.
