Nichols, a unanimous pick for the league's All-rookie team, is the seventh Tiger since 2000-01 to earn a league Rookie/Freshman of the Year honor.
The 6-8 forward averaged 9.3 points and 4.3 rebounds a game this season, earning him the rookie of the week award four times, including the last three in a row.
Dixon Jr. is the first player among major NCAA Division I schools to win Sixth Man honors in TWO different leagues.
He also won back in 2012 when he played for Missouri of the Big 12 Conference.
The 6'1" guard is the Tigers' second-leading scorer, and leads the squad in free throw percentage.
He's the fourth Tiger to win the post season award.
UConn's Shabazz Napier is named Player of the Year. Cincinnati coach Mick Cronin takes home Coach of the Year honors.
