(WMC-TV) - Several families are displaced after fire broke out in their apartment building.

Memphis Fire Department responded to the call around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the apartment building near the intersection of Marjorie Street and Havana Street in South Memphis.

Nobody was injured in the fire, but the building is unlivable. Anywhere from 12 to 20 people are reportedly displaced as a result.

People who live in the complex say they lost everything.

Investigators are not sure what caused the fire, but one woman said she saw the flames from her second floor apartment.

The Red Cross will help those families.
