Tigers arrive in Raleigh, N.C. for Big Dance

(WMC-TV) - Action News 5's Carrie Anderson and Lauren Squires welcomed the University of Memphis Tigers Wednesday in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Raleigh is where the Memphis Tigers start their NCAA tournament play this week. They will be playing at the PNC Arena in Raleigh. Normally it is home to the NHL Carolina Hurricanes and NC State basketball.

This week, it is NCAA second and third round games. Teams from across the country will be in the area, after all they say "The road to the final four goes through Raleigh."

The Memphis Tigers arrived in Raleigh Wednesday afternoon. They practice at the arena Thursday; they are expecting lots of fans to make the trip too.

"They'll make the trip no matter what, they're the best. And I hope we can come through for them, so that whether they're here or at home, they get that taste of our their mouth from last week, and we can find a way to get a [win]," said head coach Josh Pastner.
