RALEIGH, NC -

(WMC-TV) – Tiger fans are getting ready for Memphis' big game against George Washington in the NCAA playoffs. Action News 5's Carrie Anderson is reporting from Raleigh, North Carolina and has how the team is getting ready!

The Tigers finally get back on the court Friday in the NCAA tournament, facing George Washington in their second round game.

Memphis went through a light workout Thursday in Raleigh, while getting a feel for the arena and hopefully finding their shot.

The Tigers are looking to advance into the third round for just the second time under head coach Josh Pastner. They say Friday is about basketball not pressure.

Guard Michael Dixon, Jr. said, "You know, we're in good spirits. Guys are laughing, joking, playing around like always. And I think this time of year you gotta be loose."

"I never in my life thought about pressure in basketball until I came to Memphis. It's no pressure when you're playing a sport," said guard Joe Jackson. "You just gotta do what you do every day in workout and practice every day."

The Tigers and Colonials are set to begin at 5:55 p.m. and the game will be shown on TBS.
