SHELBY COUNTY, TN -

(WMC-TV) – Teresa Booker, the woman who allegedly stole wallets and identities from a Germantown Panera Bread restaurant, is now behind bars.

Police in Jackson, Tenn. arrested 53-year-old Booker Saturday, March 22 on warrants for identity theft and two counts of theft issued by Germantown police. The arrest was made after police received a Crime Stoppers tip.

She was booked into Shelby County Jail Sunday around 6 p.m. Booker is being held in jail on a $15,000 bond and a $25,000 bond, according to Germantown officials.

Germantown police say she is the woman caught on camera using stolen credit cards and a fake ID.

"You know, I work for a living, an honest living. And she's been able to get a lot of money," said victim Marsha Bolton. "She's obviously an expert at what she's doing."

Investigators say she stole women's wallets and credit cards right out of their purses at Panera Bread in Germantown and racked up thousands of dollars in charges.

Booker is scheduled to appear in Germantown City Court Wednesday, April 23.
