The Cougars are currently in a three-way tie for second at 3-over par (282-297—579) with No. 30-ranked Auburn and No. 24 South Carolina out of the SEC – one stroke back of No. 10 Virginia (+2) out of the ACC. Five schools in the 15-team field are currently ranked in the Top 50 by

Junior Zach Munroe (Charlotte, N.C.) is tied as the current leader with Brandon Robinson-Thompson of USC-Aiken. He fired a second-round 71, as did Thompson, and both are 3-under par for the tournament. Munroe birdied three holes on the front nine and finished even in his final stretch.

Freshman Ryan Carpenter (Aiken, S.C.) contributed to the team’s second-round score shooting even on Monday to tie for 25th (+4), while sophomore John Jonas (Jacksonville, Fla.) is tied for 15th (+1).

“Today was another solid round of golf for our team,” CofC Head Coach Mark McEntire said. “We continue to show that we can play with the best teams in the country. I am very proud of Zach (Munroe) and Ryan (Carpenter) for their play today. John (Jonas) also played solid. For the second week in a row, we have a chance to win a golf tournament. If we continue to play well, we will finish one off.”
