(WMC-TV) - Four teams are in Memphis ready to face off at the FedExForum in the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 of the NCAA tournament.

It has been almost 30 years since Dayton played in the Sweet 16, which means players, coaches, and fans are enjoying the ride.

Dayton fans made their presence known in Memphis, an effort lead largely by the Dayton Pep Band under the direction of Dr. Willie Morris. He and the band have traveled with the Flyers every step of the way.

"It's exciting. I haven't been this excited ever," said Morris. "We feel we belong with any team in the country. Doesn't matter who they are."

And while the band has been doing their job all season, they are thrilled to be in Memphis. Now, they want to get noticed.

"We're just hear to create havoc for everyone, the fans, the teams. Make sure that our presence is known," said band member Mark Stram.

Catch a glimpse of the Dayton band Thursday night at tip off against Stanford.
