Boy points gun at girl's head walking home from school

We've uncovered the chilling story of a child walking home from school and finding a gun pointed at her head.

Police arrested a 13-year-old boy on Monday for putting a gun to a girl's head. We broke the news on Twitter, and we got a sharp reaction, so we did more digging.

After filing a request, Cleveland Metropolitan Schools have now released that report.

This involved students at Franklin D. Roosevelt Academy on Linn Drive.

A girl was walking home after school on Monday, and she saw two other students at 108th Street and Linn Drive.

She told police the others walked behind a tree and one pulled out a black gun. He gave it to the other student.

Then that kid walked over and pointed the gun at the girl's head saying, "I will shoot you. I should pistol whip you.'

The girl ran back to the school and told a CMSD Police Officer.

Cleveland Police and CMSD officers went to the home of the boy with the gun.

He told investigators it was a broken BB gun. Said he'd just been playing.

Police didn't find the gun, but they took the boy to juvenile jail.
