Multicultural job fair encourages minorities to stay in Memphis

MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) - Mid-South job seekers came together Sunday to receive help searching for career opportunities. The inaugural Multicultural Job Fair was held at Hilton Memphis and gave attendees helpful advice on how to achieve their career goals.

Forty-eight companies were on hand conducting various workshops that helped attendees with resume building, interview skills, dressing for success, and personal branding.

"This is a very important event for the community because opens a very comprehensive platform for all the immigrants multicultural, minorities that would like to find a career path and a reason to stay in Memphis," said Alex Matlock of Contigo Creative.

The event was hosted by Contigo Creative, a Memphis-based multicultural marketing and public relations firm. Bilingual staff members were also on hand to help.
