OLIVE BRANCH, MS -

(WMC-TV) - Three arrests have been made in connection with the shooting death of a 26-year-old man in Olive Branch, Miss.

According to Olive Branch Police Department, Marvellius Shipp, 19, Mickey Burns, 38, and Xavier Wolfe, 22, are all charged in connection to the murder of NaCharles Taylor.

Taylor was found in the Chateau Ridge subdivision suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. He was taken to the hospital where he later died.

NaCharles Taylor's mother called her son's shooting "senseless." As she prepares to bury her 26-year-old, she's struggling to learn why young men continually turn to violence.

"He said, 'Momma, Phil just got shot, I don't think he's going to make it,'" said mother Paulene Anderson.

Two little girls will now grow up without their dad after Taylor was shot and killed in a rare Olive Branch murder.

"It is very senseless," said Anderson.

Almost 24 hours after flashing blue lights flooded the neighborhood, Kay King, who called police, said Taylor and a friend pounded on her door for help.

"He had stumbled over I guess and fell into the grass, and he was just about dead when the ambulance got him," said King.

Investigators couldn't release a motive but said they responded to the neighborhood before.

"I won't say, it's a bad area, but we've had some issues there in the past," said Olive Branch Police Chief Don Gammage.

The community, which has not dealt with a murder in about two years, has a lot of questions.

Wolfe is charged with murder and is being held in DeSoto County Jail on a $1 million bond. Marvellius Shipp and Mickey Burns are charged with accessory after the fact. Shipp's bond was set at $25,000. Burns' bond was set at $10,000.

The three men are scheduled to appear in court on April 17 at 9 a.m.
