MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC) - Three teenagers accused of murdering a man who was working to renovate a home in October 2013 were indicted on Tuesday.

Thomas Moss, 17, Derek Cunningham, 15, and Corey Sandifer, 16, are accused of shooting J.P. Shelley, 42, of Collierville, as they tried to rob him on October 4, 2013. Shelley was working to renovate a house on the 4700 block of Scottsdale Avenue when he was killed.

A grand jury indicted the three teens on charges of first-degree murder in perpetration of a robbery, especially aggravated robbery, and aggravated robbery. Cunningham faces an addition charge of premeditated first-degree murder.

Moss, Cunningham, and Sandifer are being held in jail without bond.

Shelley and a construction worker he was making repair estimates with on a rental home were both robbed of cash, wallets, an iPhone, and an iPad.

A fourth teenager was arrested and accused of being the getaway driver. The murder charge against him was dropped because investigators no longer believe he was involved in the murder.
