MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC) – A man accused of killing a Memphis teen was due in court at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Mario Yancey, 21, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of 17-year-old LaMarcus Odom.

The victim was killed Sunday morning in the 3700 block of Pershing Park Drive.

According to the police affidavit, Yancey shot Odom after confronting him about an earlier argument.

Yancey is being held at Shelby County Jail without bond.
