LENOX, GA (WALB) -

An Amber Alert has been issued for a missing Mississippi toddler, and Georgia officials believe suspects in the case may be in southwest Georgia.

Mississippi authorities said 2-year-old Maliah Harris disappeared with her parents after her 7-month-old sister, Alyssa, was found dead.

Cook County, GA investigators have been actively searching the Lenox area for the suspects.

Officials confirmed a heavy presence of law enforcement in that area Wednesday night.

Authorities believe 34-year-old Donald Boyd Harris and 31-year-old Allison Studdard and Maliah are traveling in a 2002 Pontiac Aztec, brown or black in color, with a Georgia license plate PGR7927.

The Coroner was called to the home where the family lived early Wednesday morning.

He said a 7-month-old child was found dead in the home, and there were no visible signs of injury on the child.

Officials say an autopsy will be performed Wednesday afternoon in Jackson, MS.

The siblings' grandfather discovered Alyssa's body about 5:30 a.m. Wednesday and called 911 and the parents left with the 2-year-old girl.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the child or the 2 adults is urged to call 911 immediately.
