MPD responds to crash involving police officers

MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC) - Memphis Police Department responded to an accident involving two vehicles, one of which was a police car.

The crash happened at Danny Thomas Boulevard and Washington Avenue.

Four people, two of whom are MPD officers, were involved in the accident. The officers were transported in non-critical condition to Methodist University.

According to preliminary reports the officers were traveling west bound on Washington through a green light when the other vehicle ran a red light.

MPD also responded to a trolley crash at South Main Street and G.E. Patterson Avenue. A van reportedly hit the trolley.
