Marion Military Institute (MMI) celebrated the conclusion of its 2013-2014 Service Academy Program (SAP) on Wednesday, May 7 with 75 of its freshmen receiving an appointment to one of the five U.S. Service Academies.

Before returning to their respective states, 92 cadets from across the nation participated in the year-end SAP Convocation Ceremony, held in the historic MMI Chapel (1857).

Each year, MMI acts as a pipeline to cadets transferring to all five U.S. Service Academies: West Point, Naval, Air Force, Coast Guard and Merchant Marine.

Many of these SAP cadets attend MMI on scholarship, sponsored by their respective Academy.
