MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

He's taking back his home and trying to keep his neighbors from being the next target.

With his video surveillance recording it all, A Montgomery man captured three people trying to break into his house on Wednesday morning. Now he's sharing that footage and his story with us in hopes someone recognizing them.

Alfred Jones is re-installing outdoor security cameras after he says the suspected robbers damaged them.

"After they destroyed two of the cameras, then they went into the house and at that time, they were trying to break the glass door and get in."

Cameras are all around Jones' home in the South Lawn neighborhood of Montgomery. Even though he wasn't there, he says he could see these people jump his backyard fence and attempt to break in at 11:30 a.m. You can see one of them holding a gun.

Watch the video here:

"These were people who were here to harm someone," Jones said "One of the gentlemen noticed that it was a camera in that area as well and he attempted to destroy that camera, but before he could the alarm went off and they immediately left."

Jones says this is the third attempted burglary in less than a year. He had proactive measures in place to record all activity in and around his property.

"I'm really hoping that the public will look at this video and see those three individuals and identify them and get them off the streets."

Jones says he encourages people to purchase a home security system. His 4-pack camera system costs around $350. Jones says destroying the camera, does not destroy the footage because it's stored somewhere else.

If you recognize these young men or have any information that could help police, please call Crimestoppers at 215-STOP.
