(WMC) - Settle in, the Grizzlies drama seems to be just getting started. The latest concerns coach Dave Joerger and his interest in the vacant Minnesota Timberwolves job.
Multiple outlets are reporting that Joerger met with T'wolves president of basketball operations Flip Saunders, with the next step being a one on one with owner Glen Taylor.
Joerger went 50-32 in his first season with the Grizzlies, but with the front office shake-up, it's no wonder he's considering leaving to take the Minnesota job in his home state. If Joerger is offered the job, the Grizzlies would get some sort of compensation to allow him out of his contract.
The Minneapolis Star Tribune reports former Minnesota player Sam Mitchell, who was a favorite of Taylor back in 2011, is also on the short list for the gig this go-round.
