MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC) - Residents of the Klondike and Smokey City areas of North Memphis will have two upcoming opportunities to help them prepare for and find work.

The Klondike Smokey City Community Development Corporation is sponsoring a Job PREP Workshop on June 7 followed by a Job Fair on June 28. Both events will be held at the Dave Wells Community Center at 915 Chelsea Avenue from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Several organizations will participate in the Job PREP Workshop on June 7: Help Ministries, Seedco, ResCare, JobLinc, Memphis Urban League, Workforce Investment Network (WIN), YWCA, Shelby County Government Re-Entry Office, HopeWorks, Agape, Seeds 2 Life and Restoration House.

These companies will have representatives to assist job seekers at the June 28 Job Fair: Sheraton Hotels, T.G.I. Fridays Restaurant, Double Tree Hotel, Shelby County Government, TruGreen, Church Health Center, My Faith Homemaker Programs Grinder Taber and Grinder General Contractors and Private 1st Class Driving Academy.
