NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A 17-year-old was arrested Thursday at his high school on charges of murder from a March incident.

Police arrested Rayvon Walker, 17, at school without incident following the issuance of a juvenile court petition and arrest order in connection with the murder of Moises Zarate during an apparent robbery attempt outside Zarate's Oakwood Forest Drive home.

Two masked, armed gunmen were reported to have approached Zarate and his cousin as they were unloading items from their vehicle on the night of March 18. Police said one of the gunmen grabbed Zarate from behind while the second threatened to shoot his cousin.

As the cousin ran for help, he heard a gunshot and saw the suspects flee on foot. Zarate was struck and died at the scene.

Police said additional arrests were anticipated as the investigation continued.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
