(WMC) - The Mid-South endured another day of rainy weather after thunderstorm warnings and watches Friday afternoon. Fortunately, it did not leave extensive damage like Thursday's storm.

But on Friday in Memphis, Kendall Lube Shop's Chris McNatt described what happened that left power lines smoking.

"Lightning bolt came down, hit what looks to be the transformer over here. Since then it looks like we've got power lines that are catching on fire," he said.

Firemen worked to make sure it did not spark into something bigger.

"We're definitely safety first inside the shop and outside, so if there's any kind of hazard put here, we 're gonna make sure to take all the precautions," said McNatt
