CORDOVA, TN -

(WMC) - The "I love pot" decal stuck to a car parked in the driveway may have been a clue as to what was reportedly happening inside a house off Whitten Road. The constant traffic concerned neighbors.

Police say the suspect was selling five pounds of pot per week at home, then sending part of the proceeds back to California.

Dan Wireman is a professional photographer. He had his camera on the house Monday as undercover cops moved in, and snapped photos as a raid went down.

"Over the past couple of months there's been a lot of cars here," said Wireman. "Really before I could get very many shots off they [police] were in the house, and then I was approached and asked not to divulge their faces because of their undercover activity."

Sullivan Ly, 25, was charged with drug possession, money laundering, and related crimes.

Officers say they observed Ly taking $7,000 in drug profits to Wells Fargo Bank on Poplar Avenue. Once there, Ly would deposit money in California-based accounts of people who would, in return, send him drugs.

Police say the drugs would be sent from California to Cordova in shipping boxes and that they found so-called marijuana shipping material inside some of them.

Guns, ammunition, and drug paraphernalia were also hauled from Ly's home during the raid, where two small children were said to be living as well.

"We don't need this in the neighborhood. We don't need it in any neighborhoods," added Wireman.

According to police, additional charges are possible, both in Memphis and in California. Ly is being held on a $60,000 bond.
