Claiborne bringing former and current Tigers to camp Saturday

It's just another sign training camp is just around the corner.  Fairpark and LSU alum, now Dallas Cowboys defensive back Morris Claiborne will hold his 3rd annual football camp this weekend at Independence Stadium in Shreveport.

Things will kickoff Saturday morning, registration is from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., the camp will itself will be from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Youngsters ages 12-18 are welcome to attend. It is completely free but registration is limited so you'll have to get there early.  Campers will get a free t-shirt and lunch. 

There'll be some familiar faces there as guest instructors.  Green Oaks alum and LSU cornerback Tradavius White, LSU linebacker Lamin Barrow, LSU alum Brandon Taylor and Dallas Cowboys defensive back Brandon Carr.  Giants wide receiver and former Tiger Rueben Randle, as well as, Claiborne's cousin Ronnie Prude will also be in attendance.

The former Fair Park Indian Morris Claiborne went on to be a star at LSU and has made a good living on that island in the NFL. The former 1st round pick has learned a lot from being in that position and wants to pass what he knows to the youth in this community.

    The dreams of former North Caddo Rebel Robert Williams came true on Thursday Night, all of Oil City and Vivian packed into the Buffalo Wild Wings in Shreveport for the Draft Party and heard his name called with the No. 27 pick by the Boston Celtics.
