Green Oaks AD, Dennis, inducted into Grambling HOF

Grambling State University held its Hall of Fame induction ceremony Saturday night.  Former Grambling State corner back and current Green Oaks High school Athletic Director and coach Steve "Stickem" Dennis was inducted.

Coach Dennis recorded 27 interceptions in his career at Grambling, and was coached by the legendary Eddie Robinson. Dennis recorded three separate 4 interception games for the Tigers.

After his impressive career at Grambling, he went on to play in the Canadian Football League. He later returned and coached under Eddie Robinson. Now, the Hall of Fame coach works at Green Oaks High School and is trying to pass along the knowledge that he says help make him the man he is today.

Dennis said, "Coach Rob used to tell us that your ability will get you there but your character will keep you there.  He taught us a lot of football but he spent a lot of time talking to us about life how life doesn't owe us anything and how you have to put something into life if you want to get something out of it."
