JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A 35-year-old woman says she was gang raped at a Jackson gas station and employees did nothing to help her.

WLBT has surveillance video from the Shell station on Daniel Lake Boulevard, showing Jackson Police after they were called to the scene.

Just seconds after this woman claims she was gang raped, you can see her frantically run to the window, in what looks like a plea for help to the store clerk.

The victim, who talked exclusively to WLBT, says the store employee refused to dial 911 or help her.

The video shows the woman running back and forth to the window. Then it shows the store clerk calling someone shortly before Jackson Police arrive on scene.

However, Shell employees tell us the victim had already driven away.

So, what should victims immediately do in a crisis situation?

Catholic Charities says, "Call the police. Once you call the police you should go to a local emergency room where a nurse examiner can perform a rape kit on the person. Making sure someone is safe is top priority. Getting that forensic rape kit is very instrumental in making sure the perpetrator is convicted of their crime."

The Catholic Charities Rape Crisis Center is open 24 hours. Counselors are on hand to help in any situation.

We also spoke to Jackson Police today who say the incident is still under investigation.
