Greer man killed in Sunday morning crash

GREER, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Greenville County Coroner said a 21-year-old man died following an early morning crash in Greer.

Coroner Park Evans Jr. said Cory Metcalf of East James Street, Greer, died in the single vehicle crash.

Evans said the crash happened on South Main Street near the intersection of Pelham Street.

Metcalf was taken to the Greenville Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead just before 4:30 a.m., Evans said.

The coroner's office, Greer Police Department, and the Greenville County Sheriff's Office are investigating the crash.
