Grass fire caused by lightning strike near 50th & Upland

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Lubbock Fire Rescue and the Wolfforth Fire Department contained a grass fire near 50th and Upland on Thursday.

The area is west of the Canyon West Shopping Center, on the west side of the railroad tracks.

Officials believe the fire was caused by a lightning strike.
