The project to resurface Main Street in Greenville is running ahead of schedule, city officials announced on Thursday.

Officials said the second week of work, which will begin on Sept. 1, will repave the blocks between McBee Avenue and Camperdown Way.

Contractors will be working on the street from Monday through Thursday from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m.

The street and parking spaces will reopen at 7 a.m. each morning.

The schedule for repaving the street is as follows:

• Sept. 1-5 – McBee Avenue to Camperdown Way

• Sept. 7-12 – Camperdown Way to Augusta Street
