(WMC) - Parents in DeSoto County will soon be able to drop off their recycling at the same time they drop their kids off at school.
DeSoto County Board of Supervisors, DeSoto County Schools, and Mississippi Recycling are teaming up for the new effort that aims to benefit the entire community.
About 20 bins will be set up throughout the county at many of the schools in the district.
Lee Caldwell, president of DeSoto County Board of Supervisors, said that the program will start with paper only.
WMC Action News 5's Michael Clark will tell you why it will save taxpayers money and how kids will play a vital role in the recycling efforts.
