Internet surfing

There's a new way to find out if the web site you're browsing is legit. And it's a system you already know by heart. Thieves could be surfing the same sites you are, so a new web page was developed to give you the green light or the red light on bogus sites. Trustwatch.com is recommended by a former Internet security advisor for the White House. The site allows you to download a tool bar using the same symbols that we're used to seeing in driving our cars--red, yellow and green. If you surf to a good trusted site, the tool bar turns green. If the bar turns yellow, it doesn't mean it's a bad site, there's just not enough information about it so use caution. But if it's a red site, it could be a phishing site and you will want to stay away from it.
