MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - The Memphis Grizzlies are hoping to make a deeper run in the playoffs this year, and perimeter shooting would definitely help the cause.
ESPN's Marc Stein reporting the Grizzlies are actively trying to obtain Miami's Luol Deng or Boston's Jeff Green ahead of the trade deadline.
Right now, the Grizzlies are third in the West at 25-and-10, and rank 8th in the conference at just over 35 percent from beyond the arc.
Deng, a 6'9" small forward, is in his first season with the Heat and averages 14.3 points a game.
Green, a six year vet is averaging 17.6 points with the Celtics this year.
The trade deadline is February 19.
