MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - It's been talked about, analyzed and now it's official.
The Grizzlies announcing the three-team trade that will bring in Jeff Green from Boston and rookie Russ Smith from New Orleans.
The deal includes Tayshaun Prince and a protected future first round draft pick going to Boston and sends Quincy Pondexter and a 2015 second round draft pick to New Orleans.
Green has averaged a career-high 17.6 points with Boston this season, including 30 percent from three-point range.
But with the additions, comes losing a teammate and friend.
Pondexter came to Memphis just prior to the 2011-12 season, Prince in 2012, as part of the trade that sent Rudy Gay to Toronto.
