Winter weather advisory issued for parts of Mid-South

SHELBY COUNTY, TN (WMC) - Parts of the Mid-South were under a winter weather advisory Thursday morning as wintry weather into North Mississippi and Northeast Arkansas.

National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for Randolph, Clay, Lawrence, Green, Craighead Counties in Arkansas, Dunklin and Pemiscot Counties in Missouri, and Lake County in Tennessee. The advisory expired at 10 a.m. Thursday.

Obion, Weakley, Henry, Carroll and Benton Counties in Tennessee and Phillips, Marshall, Benton, Tippah, Alcorn, Tishomingo, Tunica, Tate, Prentiss, Coahoma, Quitman, Panola, Lafayette, Union, Pontotoc, Lee, Itawamba, Tallahatachie, Yalobusha, Calhoun, Chickasaw, and Monroe Counties in Mississippi were under a Winter Weather Advisory that expired at noon.

Shelby County and DeSoto County were not included in the advisory.
