OXFORD, MS (WMC) - After leading Ole Miss in rushing in 2013, and being a valuable part of the Rebel rushing game this past season, I'Tavius Mathers decided to transfer away from the program, landing at Middle Tennessee State.
Mathers is from Murfreesboro, and will play the 2016 season for his hometown school. Because of NCAA transfer rules, he'll sit out 2015 and use his redshirt year.
Mathers ran for 563 yards in 2013 for the Rebels, and was third on the team in 2014 with 290 yards. Mathers is the second running back to transfer away from the program, following former Whitehaven Tiger Mark Dodson, who transferred to Memphis.
