After a week of speculation, it's now official.
Kuran Iverson is leaving the Memphis Tigers.
Tigers basketball coach Josh Pastner suspended Iverson for 2 games last week for a violation of team rules.
Sources said Iverson has been a problem all season, and the suspension was the boiling over of tension between player and coach.
Iverson didn't help his cause, taking to Twitter at one point and 'favoriting' a tweet criticizing Pastner.
Iverson, a 6-foot-9 sophomore, played in eight games this season and averaged 4.6 points and 1.9 rebounds.
He will remain at Memphis through the spring semester to focus on academics.
