MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - It was the bite seen around the world. Who could forget it? Mike Tyson bit Evander Holyfield's ear in June 1997.
Kenyana Caradine is no Mike Tyson, but she's accused in Memphis of doing the same thing to a woman with whom she argued.
The victim told police that she was sitting in her car with Caradine, 20, when they began arguing.
According to the affidavit of complaint, Caradine eventually bit off part of the victim's right ear, spit it on the ground, and left.
The victim went to a local hospital and was told the piece of her ear could not be reattached.
The affidavit says the victim identified Caradine as the person who assaulted her.
When WMC Action News 5's Kontji Anthony went by Caradine's address to ask if anyone would talk about the argument, she was told to leave the property.
Caradine is charged with two counts of aggravated assault. She is booked in Shelby County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
The victim's ear is permanently disfigured from the attack.
