MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - For the first time in franchise history, a Memphis grizzly will start in the NBA All-Star Game. And a big company announced that it will bring hundreds of new jobs to the city.

It's no secret that great things are happening in the Bluff City.

Big start

Grizz fans voted Marc Gasol to the Western Conference starting lineup for the 2015 NBA All-Star Game. He is the first Grizzly ever to start in the game.

New jobs

Bass Pro Shops announced it will bring 600 new jobs to Memphis when it opens in the Pyramid in May.

Movie city

And Hollywood of the Mid-South? Moviemaker Magazine ranked the Bluff City as number seven in the top 10 cities for filmmakers.

Top chef

There was also a big honor given to a little chef.

Memphis City Council congratulated Logan Guleff for cooking his way to a MasterChef Junior win.

Music hit

A song with Memphis ties is topping the charts.

Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars' song, ''Uptown Funk,'' is the first number one pop hit out of a Memphis studio since 1982.

You can't help but dance to all of these successes.
