Man's life threatened in a Whitehaven driveway robbery

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - A man robbed in his Whitehaven driveway does not want to be identified because he fears for his life.

He had just left Bible study when a man pulled into his driveway and put a gun to his head.

"When I got out and got ready to come around and go into the house, I heard some click like a gun being pulled back. As I heard the gun being pulled back, click, I turned around and looked at him. He said, 'turn around and don't look at my face.' He said 'I'll shoot you.'"

The suspect told him to walk toward the back of his yard and get on the ground. It was something that was not easy for the victim because he is a disabled veteran.

The suspect told him to empty his pockets. He only had $12 in his wallet. "He said, 'this is all you got? You better tell me the truth or I'll kill you.'"

The suspect then got the man's Bank of America ATM card and asked for the pin number. The suspect said it better be right. "He said, 'I got your ID. I know where you stay and I'm going to come back and kill you.'"

The suspect went to the ATM and withdrew $500. He is described as 6 feet tall, thin and may have a big knot on his right hand under his middle finger.
