PANOLA CO, MS (WMC) - Jessica Chambers' friends and family held a candlelight vigil Saturday to celebrate what would've been her 20th birthday on February 2.
Her grief-stricken parents watched as the people at the vigil released their balloons.
"We just wanted to do something for Jessica's birthday thinking maybe people might see this who know something and see the hurt they've caused other people. Maybe they might come forward," said Jessica's father, Ben Chambers.
It's been almost two months since Chambers was discovered burning lying near her car that was in flames. Despite federal and state agencies working on the case, there have been no arrests.
Her family says they will not give up until there is Justice for Jessica.
"To us it keeps her alive until this thing is over," said Jessica's aunt, Deborah Sanders. "It's not over until somebody is being charged."
Sunday night after the "Blacklist", Janice Broach continues her investigation into the search for Justice for Jessica. She'll reveal new information about the Chambers case, including what investigators are saying about specific suspects and what may be have been the killer's motive.
Investigators are still trying to figure out who committed the crime. No suspects have been identified. The
in this case is over $50,000.
