MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Memphis police are investigating a Friday night crash involving a Durham School Bus that reportedly left the scene.
Chopper Five captured the aftermath of a crash involving the bus and a silver Chevrolet at Almo and Knightway, shortly before 5:30 p.m. Friday.
A passenger in a silver Chevrolet truck was transported to St. Francis Hospital in non-critical condition.
The incident is latest in a series of problems with Durham buses in Shelby County. There have been more than 40 accidents between August and January. One driver busted with marijuana and a violent felony; another with a suspended license and eight unpaid tickets.
Durham Schools Services CEO David A. Duke promised changes; better background checks. And now, another apparent crash with a Durham School bus leaving the scene.
WMC Action News 5 reached out to Durham for a comment. Officials say they are investigating the incident.
