Second person arrested in Raleigh arson case

SHELBY COUNTY, TN (WMC) - Memphis police made a second arrest in an arson over a reported love triangle.

Prosecutors charged Markel Jones with attempted first-degree murder and aggravated arson after a house fire in Raleigh.

According to the affidavit, Jones confessed to setting the fire that forced a Memphis woman and her family to escape from their burning home on Lansdowne Road.

Jessica Jones is also charged in the arson. There's no word on if the two suspects are related.

Markel Jones is being held on a $500,000 bond.
