MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - A man pleaded guilty to second-degree murder Friday.
Michael Foster, 26, pleaded guilty to killing his girlfriend's 2-year-old son in April 2012.
On April 17, 2012, the toddler, Sean Lambert, was taken to LeBonheur where he was pronounced dead from blunt force injuries to the torso. He also had several cuts, bruises, and was hemorrhaging.
Foster told investigators that he and the child were "play wrestling" and that he may have been too rough with the boy. He said he fell on the toddler's chest and was swinging him in a circle.
Judge Mark Ward sentenced Foster to 30 years in prison, according to Shelby County District Attorney General Amy Weirich.
